- Mã Mây is a finely crafted ceramic piece that carries the quiet soul of contemporary Vietnamese culture. In Vietnamese visual history, the horse symbolizes endurance, wisdom, and loyalty—appearing in folklore, ritual objects, and ancient ceramics. Rather than portraying a heroic warhorse, Mã Mây draws from folk tradition: gentle, compact, and steadfast, with a calm presence that feels close to everyday life.
- The form is shaped with restrained, confident lines—soft curves and balanced proportions that suggest slow, ceremonial movement. Layers of pastel pink and cobalt blue glaze bring a refined harmony, accented by delicately rendered details such as the mane, saddle, and ornamental harness. These hues require great precision in firing, giving the piece its luminous yet understated finish.
- A distinctive parasol rises above the horse, symbolizing reverence and ritual, adorned with swirling cloud motifs that complete the composition with quiet grace. Returns
